I'm sure there been millions of threads like this, but why do we live? Whats the point of waking up tommorow? Why do we all continue hope for a better day tommorow? Why do we have dreams (as in wishful goals, not what you experience when you sleep)? Why do we care about others? They will eventually die and leave us in sadness unless we die first. So why do we want to live when we know we will eventually die? Sorry, I'm feeling confused right now and just felt like I should spit out all these questions I have and see how people respond.

I like to live to expirence the joys of life. There are also the downfall's of life. But what good would it be not to be alive what joy in that?

We live because we're programmed, biologically and behaviourally to do so. Some people suffer an imbalance of this programming and kill themselves though.

They become an hero, if you will.

This is where I believe the Religion Piece falls into place, it gives people something to live for: an after life. If you believe that you will disappear when you die... then really, what's the point? It'll all be gone sooner or later. It's kind of depressing, actually... I'm going to go slash my wrists.

Why not use this life to experience pleasure, happiness, satisfaction and help to create conditions so that others can too and all that?

Makes more sense to me than to hope for some reward that one may never get. ;)

Perhalps, the answer to this question, is that so few of us wake up and decide to take their own life at that very moment in time.
