You need to have a 'Downloads' folder, (without the '' marks), in your 'My Documents/EA Games' folder. If there isn't one there, make one. How are you using them? Go over what all it is you're doing, so we can help out where you're going wrong.

i downloaded it into my download folder and after i did that i tried to run sims 2 and get the packaged items on my sim but after that didn't work i tried using the package installer but that didn't work. so i tried to make it so that when i double clicked on the .package file it opened up the package installer and it still didn't work. then i came here. it's all just so confusing :banghead:

You must put in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and make sure the downloads don't need an expansion pack and if it does, make sure you have it.

Yeah. Walls, floors, objects, recolors, clothes and genetics (hair, skintone, makeup, etc.) all go in your downloads folder immediately after download. Also, make sure the files are unzipped, unrared, or whatever, meaning that only .package files end up in your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder. Hope this helps. Sims and houses must be installed using the Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer, or something similar.

Keep in mind that some packages require a specific expansion.
