To be honest, the rules are fine, the big problem is NO ONE EVER READS THEM!

Good idea.

It would also be useful if we had a rule about how many violations are a llowed before a ban.

e.g. 2 violations 2 week ban 3 violations perm ban

etc etc.

One thing that really pisses me off are those damn links to online games like 0utwar, Kings of Chaos, etc. I really don't think those are appropriate, especially when most people disguise them as links that go elsewhere. I just warned someone not 5 mins ago for trying to post an 0utwar link.

Rules are a really good idea, especially for mods/admins. I know when I first started out as a mod I had no idea what to do cause I was never given any direction. I have to go post maps for Devastation, so that's all I have for now. Expect more later

1) warez 2) No PM harassment 3) Report post is to be used for abuse only, not to get the moderators to answer your post *ugh* 4) Acusations of theft shouldn't be made on the public forums. Half the time they are wrong anyways. 5) Those who plagerise others works or release it without permission should be banned. 6) Sig size limited to half a 1024/768 monitor screen (horizontally)

Those are the ones I see as the biggest problems. Swearing really isn't, nor is spamming, atleast in BCfiles. We get some thread hijackers and flammers now and then but that's about it.

thats not going to be decided for some time. There are a lot of different situations we need to take into account.

We'll try to include a few pointers for the mods to follow.

I see Mr. Greg has the title of "Head FN Staff Trainer", maybe he could give some good points to follow?
