I'm hoping someone here can help me. I am running on windows XP, 2.66 GHZ computer with 512 RAM and all the other appropriate Sims2 needs. When I put the disc in the cd drive, it refuses to acknowledge it's there. Any other disc works fine, just not this one. So we figured bad disk - went and returned it and got a new one - it is doing the same thing. Anyone know whats going on? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
sry i cant help but i have the exact same spec's as you and im getting the same error message
you guys need a crack, like me, so you dont have to use the disc. but dont ask me where to get one, thats want im at this site for lol:D
same thing is happening to me except that I'm trying the sims deluxe edition on windows 98
one thing is that you have to be admin on xp to run the sims
I just bought the game myself, and had the exact same problem. I was perplexed, and so I checked the ea customer support site. Here's the answer, and it was really so simple and stupid I slapped my forehead. If you have the DVD version of the game, CD and CD-R drives will not be able to read the disk. A DVD-rom drive, however, will be able to read both the CD and DVD versions of the game.
If you have mistakenly purchased the DVD version and do not have a DVD-rom drive, you should exchange the game at the store of purchase for the CD-rom version.
can any body send a good crack cause i have one but the building tools is not working
I am the only one who is actually cooler than AzH
