I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am having trouble finding a program to install certain types of Sims 2 mods mostly rar files, and package files i have found some mods that i was able to easily download but the ones listed above I am having trouble with. I have already downloaded the Sims2pak clean installer and winrar because i read that it might help me with this problem. No luck though if anyone has any ideas please help i have tons of files that i can't install because I can't find the correct program to open them. :uhoh:Thank You:uhoh:

7 Zip is a good free-to-use archive-opening program: http://www.7-zip.org/ Here's a post I made about installing custom content: http://forums.filefront.com/showpost.php?p=2227309&postcount=2

Yep, there's a couple differences in what files they'll both open, but 7zip is free, you won't get the pop-up ads reminding you to buy, after a trial period expires. Also, they're coming up with an updated version of 7zip soon, that'll open the two file-types it doesn't open now,('ACE/ISO' files).

Heh heh, I knows the feeling... It's like when you buy something, and then see it a week later on sale.

Try The Sims 2 File Maid...its good with the package files as well, saves all the clicking at least. And Quickzip is good (get it off Download.com) xx
