icon8.gifRe: Sims 2 crashing, computer restarting during play! I am getting the crashing/restarting problem. I have a 3.0Ghz machine with Ati radeon 9800 se graphics so it should be fine. I have tried so mnay different things. I have had trouble downloading drivers/chipsets as advised and I dont really want to go messing around on the computer incase I break it! Cos ive only had it a week. I dont think it's fair how it works on some computers and not others even if the ones it works on arent very good! I have contacted EA with my problem but they havent responded. Please, can anyone help. I think I'll just have to send my computer back and get a new one. Is there any graphics cards that this game does work with?

Don't Send your PC Back. OK. Firstly, Re-Install the Game, Close any Other Programs [MSN Messanger etc] Try and download and install the latest drivers for your card. It won't break your PC as long as you get the right ones. The Sims 2 should support your Graphics Card. Does an error message come up or does it just crash without warning?
