I installed a whole heap of items . . . Then when I started sims2 up all the save files got erased, and I added more. Now Sims 2 doesn't do anything to the files I put in the downloads folder. What do I do? Should I re-install?

You . . . can't . . .

I'm sure some of the items work. But i'm also sure the other items don't need expansions to run . . .

I think theres a program out there called sims 2 clean installer, find a post by axeblade here in the sims forums and click his signature,, you might find what you need there or try sims filefront site TheSims2.FileFront.com might find what you need there also..

I know this might sound dumb, but when I first started downloading for The Sims 2 - a long time ago - I put the Downloads folder in the My Computer-Program Files-EA Games directory, instead of the My Documents-EA Games directory.

Just in case?
