Everytime i go to play the sims 2 it starts up then it takes FOREVER to get into the actual game to play it. And it usually freezes after i make a family...the farthest i got was i got into a house and it kept freezing when i was trying to put things in...then i got frusterated and closed it... Does anyone else have problems with the loading times going reaaaallllllllllllyyyy sloww and it always freezing? I don't know what to do.. Help me

The crashing & freezing are always caused by 3 things, Verify that your pc meets the system requirements, which can be found on the back of your case. End background tasks to prevent program conflicts and free up resources for the game. If all that fails, then update your video/sound drivers.

If you need any help with any of these post ;)

Nah ill just tell you what you need, all the others you can close. Close any process other than EXPLORER.EXE and TASKMGR.EXE & dont close processes running under SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE. You will see a BIG increase in performance as well :nodding:

Well all of these will open again when you restart, so if anything did go wrong a restart would fix it ;)

when I try to end a process in the task manager, a warning appears which says' WARNING: Termination process can cause undesired results including loss of data and system instability. The process will not be given the chance to save its state or data before it is terminated'. What does this mean? and Should I go ahead will terminated the processes anyway? Please help!
