I need help.... I have now just purchased my SECOND Sims 2 game- thinking the first one was just bad, but now I am having the very same problem with this second one, and maybe you guys can help. I can't get this game to install at ALL. The first disk goes in fine, and when it asks for the second disk, I insert Disk 2 and......nothing happens. Nothing! (this is at 23% installation) I have tried everything- I have disabled my firewall/spamkiller/virus scan, defragmented my hard drive, run a scandisk on my hard drive, nothing works. My computer is BRAND NEW- 1 month old. Its a Dell Dimension 3000 with 80G storage, 512MB, blah blah blah- there is no real technical reason this game shouldn't run properly. CAN ANYONE HELP? PS- I am not getting any error messages at all. It just doesn't do anything. Eventually, I hit Crt-alt-del, and it says the Sims is "not responding" Thanks in advance......

I'm not sure what the problem could be, please give me your complete system specs. Might be a problem with your operation system, or your windows installer is bugged. Have you recently haved any other problems with other games?

I additionally made a news post about it on Sims2Files, you should maybe check for a reply there as well.
