Do you have any hacks in your game? And what are the specs on your computer? It *might* be a memory problem, so I'm specificly wondering about how much RAM you have. This game's almost as huge a memory hog as The Sims was once it had lots of downloads.

tnx for the reply but my computer here in the office has 256 MB of RAM, P4 2.4 GHz. i think the one i have at home has much smaller Hz than the one i have here and yet i did not crashed. could it possibly be the updates from windows? i'm using WinXP.

I have found that many of these problems are caused by background programs conflicting with the sims 2 & this should be the first thing you eliminate. If your unsure how to get rid of these programs, post your OS and I guide you through it the best I can.
