I've heard about some problems with framerates on BF1942: Secret Weapons, but I have 512 ram which should be enough to run BF smoothly or so I've heard, so what is the best way to get better framerates? just tweaking with the ettings? My monitor has a 100 hertz refresh rate does that have ne thing to do with framerates? Because my framerates are a bit slow.

thanks. My system specs: 2.4 ghz,p4,512 ram,Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb

well, knowing bf, that much ram would run it pretty good. but with your specs you should have a way better frame rate then you say. try updating your vid drivers and mother board drivers. oh and whats your os and sound card? sound cards mean alot in bf.

i dont know how to see your mother board, but to see your sound card, go to, start menu, run, type dxdiag and hit enter, select the sound 1 tab. and tell me what is says where it says name. now to see your fps, load up bf in whatever map. press the ~ key, and type console.showfps 1

I have a P4 2.4Ghz Radon 9700 Pro 128mb, and 1024mb of RDRAM and I too have had slow fram rates in certain parts of a map. I have updated drivers and I run XP Pro if anything there will probly be a new path out soon to adress these preformance issues.

I dunno they were like 3 sets of numbers next to fps, the one in parenthesis looked like 100.2% or something. Does that help?
