The rare mineral that resists lightsabers. Rare being the key word in that sentence. RARE. As in not enough to equip entire fucking empires with lightsaber-proof armor and vibroblades. WTF?

It wasn't even discovered until the JK series. How the fuck they got it back in time and then completely forgot about it is beyond me.

I can understand that thousands of years could cause people to forget and/or lose things, but Star Wars deals with advanced technology. I honestly don't understand how they could forget something like that, either. Kind of like that whole MechWarrior universe thing involving "LosTech." I don't care if you had a technological dark age. There's no way the space-Nazis managed to go planet to planet destroying all records of extended-range lasers and enhanced heat sink technology.
