Gaa! Global Warming is gonna cause an ice age and we'll all have to burn books to keep warm, and emmigrate to Mexico! blizzard.jpg

Worse still, our fires will emit co2 and make the ice age even worse!

Me too.

And, that movie was based on scientific fact. Don't be surprised Europe lands in an ice age in 10 years if our government will stop talking about the problem and start doing something about it.

I can tell you why Global Warming created an ice age in the movie.

Yes. That's why the Medieval Optimum was one of the coldest periods in human history, freezing over entire continents killing hundreds of billions of people and causing mankind to go extinct!

The Romans also caused global warming. That's why whenever you see a picture of an Italian legionary, he's always covered head to toe in thick furs and boots. That penninsula was practically buried in glaciers!

That movie was completly unrealistic. For thermohaline circulation to slow or stop like that it would take centuries.

Yeah. They accelerated the event timeline. Also, I don't think a shutdown of the North Atlantic Oscillation (Current) will cause tornadoes in LA, though it would be cool if it did.

Theatrical license, anyone?

Let's face it, any excuse for a disaster movie is a good excuse.
