I was just sitting in the library today letting my mind wander waiting for lunch to end, and I have come to the conclusion the people around me made no sense. Issue wise (At least where I live): The War on Christmas > The War in Iraq Gay Marriage > Elimination of Pension/Retirement Plans Why the heck in the news here is there nothing else but people arguing over a two word setence that really does no harm, when we have multiple wars being fought? What happened to all the patriotic crap about if you were not fighting you should be buying war bonds and conserving, and if you weren't doing that you were supporting the enemy? Priorities people. I understand Bush was all fired up about making that anti- gay marriage ammendment purely for a political edge during the elections, but I still hear people arguing about it in the news. Gay marriage somehow destroying the moral lives of all families, everyone going to hell, etc. Love between two people does not hurt everyone else. What does is when workers lose all benefits and can no longer support their families. THAT is when families crumble, not when a same sex couple lives down the street. And one thing I found ironic that I never really thought of before, Bush the tree-hugger is working to restoring the wetlands in Iraq. However, the original reasons for going to war was because Iraq was going to invade us and hurt out feelings. However, his carefree attitude towards pollution/dumping/waste elimination/etc. pose a much more real and larger danger than Iraq's army did to our nation. :Puzzled: Thoughts?
No thoughts as yet but interesting to say the least.
I thikn you think too much.
Iraq has wetlands?
Marsh, wetland, swampy smelly place, whatever you want to call it. :p
