Right. We all know that the Spam Forum has just become a place to put random posts, which is what many people think the forum is all about. But, in the "Spam Forum of old" there were interesting threads as well as random ones. I am taking this from the recent thread "General Discussion vs Spam Forum" by SeinfeldRules.

In there, there was a big discussion about getting the spam forum back on track, but the only ideas that came up were either boycott unfocused users or threads, or ban people completely. Well, I believe that the Spam Forum can get back up to its former glory more easily than that.

This thread is just to see who is interested in changing the forum, and reforming the spam. I don't mean take away all of the randomness, but just introduce some new and interesting threads, so that everyone can be happy.

This is something that is on a lot of people's minds, so I want to see how many people are actually in favour of turning the forum around.

This place was never designed to be for any sort of on-topic, serious thread. We have the GD and other fourms for that.

If you think it is bad now, you should have seen in with orlfman and killer400.

well, i'm just saying what is on people's minds already. and, it would put an end to everybody just making groups and being hostile between them. It would be good to just have some threads that have a point.

Yes, And many people will still remember a 'better time' of spam, where there was a line drawn between absolute crap and fun stuff. For example, the ask-a-Wiener thread has been plauged by spam quite a lot lately, and i'm guessing that that hasn't happened so much in the past.

people need to realise what is fun and should be posted, as opposed to that which is not even needed in the spam forum. Also, i've noticed a lot of normal one on one conversations going on in some of the larger threads, which makes it difficult for other users to keep up with the subject and post. The conversations would be better suited to a messaging program specifically designed for people talking to each other.

The funny part of this whole thread is your join dates. You don't really know what "old spam" was like.

Besides, the spam forum never had a theme, the only real "events" we've had are: Red Thread vs. Blue Thread Spam Elections Riles' Stories

Go with teh flow.

yeah, i did say i was basing on another thread. but, the thing is, in that thread they were talking about actually trying to stop certain people from posting, which i didn't think was fair.

Nobody ever said anything about 'knowing' what old spam was about, but merely being told. After all, it's just an idea. No?
