that's what i'm talking about, threads that actually have a point and are fun. by interesting i didn't necessarily mean serious.
Exactly, and do you see things like that today?

reborninthegloryNobody ever said anything about 'knowing' what old spam was about, but merely being told. After all, it's just an idea. No?
So let the people who know what they're talking about form the arguments. Heck, I don't even have a concept of the "old" spam forum. Why do you think you'd have a clue?
Seriously, if you want to talk about something, know something about it first. We don't make threads going "Someone told me the world was going to explode. Shall we go into hiding now?"
Know something about it? What more is there to know? I've read several of the 'old' threads, and have seen comments from 'old' members, and it's painfully obvious that the Spam Forum is nothing like it was two years ago.
All i'm after is a fun forum, where people can enjoy themselves.
And it's become obvious that many of the more prodigious members are becoming less and less active in the Spam Forum because they no longer feel that they can have a little honest fun without being invaded by bucketloads of Bad Spam.
It is spam for a reason.
or feeling the need to join one of the many groups because it's the only place they feel they can post, whilst still getting flooded with spam
Ping_PongIt is spam for a reason.
That is true, but do you prefer the Spam forum of today, to the days of old?
reborninthegloryYes, And many people will still remember a 'better time' of spam, where there was a line drawn between absolute crap and fun stuff. For example, the ask-a-Wiener thread has been plauged by spam quite a lot lately, and i'm guessing that that hasn't happened so much in the past.
damn it used to be a lot worse!
killer400....he just wouldn't learn...
never mind. spam has seen better days, and as long as there are a few "quality" posters, it won't degenerate completely.
