Lord of the Rings lied to you!

Sauron was actually a brave man attempting to free the oppressed races and peoples of Middle-Earth from the nazi-esque regime of Gondor, and the brutal Spartan-like Monarchy of Rohan, and the horribly xenophobic elven theocracy. He at first attempted a peaceful uprising, one of protest and the like, but this was brutally put down by the powers. So of course he had to respond with force to this. Much of the history of these events had been fabricated by the victors, the "One Ring" never existed, merely an attempt to save face due to the success of Sauron, never wanting to admit that their states were weak. Also, the Fellowship weren't on a quest to destroy the "One-Ring", they were actually a conspiracy to assassinate Sauron, and they succeded. Orcs and Goblins also weren't Chaotic Evil monsters, they were civilized creatures that had developed an intricate and advanced underground society, to which both Gondor and the Dwarves feared for they could displace them economically, thus they oppressed them.

Typical Orcish lies.

The King of Gondor categorically denies all accusations of wrongdoing as being crazy conspiracy theories. This terrorist known as "Sauron" attacked Gondor and the free countries of Middle-Earth, and our military excursion into Mordor was to bring him and his cronies to justice.
