You may have seen the thread in the Historical Discussion about the Tiger tank on its side. Heres a picture, try and guess how it happened, ill post a picture from a different angle later on with the real answer.

The local incline would lead me to believe it flip over by coming up on the ledge at a bad angle, but I find it hard to believe that such a heavy tank would be flipped by such an obtuse angle. Was it stationed parallel to the ledge at the top of that little incline and get pushed over? Or perhaps a rain washed out the ground benieth it?

Perhaps they were trying to jump the hill? Traveling too fast, the thing flipped, and slid a short distance?

I think it drove over a fairly high cliff and flipped forward (the cliff is behind the cameraman).

It was taken September 2004 on Salisbury Plain. The left hand track slid into a shallow ditch and as he tried to pull right stick to come out of it he flipped the whole tank over to the left. What was left of the GPMG was about 2 feet underground.
