I usually have to go to work at 7:30am with my hangovers, which involves a two mile walk through British weather, and then pretending I don't have one when I get there. If I'm lucky I'm still drunk from the previous night and don't remember the trip, but in that instance the hangover surfaces mid-morning instead.

No sympathy from me, you big wuss.

Well, he was laying down on my lap. He isn't a big dog.

I'm not looking for sympathy... I am informing people of the fact that hangovers are terrible.

[QUOTE=Schofield;5727204]Or you could just not get a hangover.

How is this achieved while still drinking massive amounts of alcohol on an empty stomach?

Drinking a pint of water before going to bed, I've very rarely had hangovers. Eating something to provide a base for your drinking isn't a bad idea either.

The worst hangover I ever had though was drinking half a, fairly large, bottle of vodka shortly after I had my own flat - mostly for lack of anything better to do - and then, like a fool, like a damned fool, omitting the above step.

I'd moved the computer into the kitchen because the cooker was on a different circuit and the normal circuit's fuse had blown. You know how it gets, you're relatively happy on no real virtue of its own; watching TV or something that you wouldn't usually enjoy but you can because you're drinking. You have one drink, then you have another... hours build upon hours.

That was fairly unpleasant in the morning.

I did both those things.

What nonsense. Go through life sober?!

Ryojin;5727211I'm not looking for sympathy... I am informing people of the fact that hangovers are terrible.

Frankly if people don't already know that then they're not worth talking to.
