William H. Bonney, aka Billy the Kid. They had to build a cage around his grave to keep people from chipping keepsakes from the tombstone. It's like a jail cell around the entire grave. He may be dead but he's still locked up.

Here's his view from the foot of his grave.

Cool, they really keep those graves long.

Graves get emptied after 50 years here unless you pay, so i don't really know why so much effort is put into keeping a grave of a criminal... :D

Here, your grave is your final resting place and no one is allowed to remove you from it but your family or the police with a court order. Billy the Kid isn't just a criminal, he's American history.

And just what do they do with the bodies? That is utterly disrespectful...

He didn't really do much important, but he is a huge part of the folklore of the American West. Seeing as the West goes from Texas to Dakota to California, I'd say he has been of note in folklore. Even though he only really operated in he Southwest:/

Heh, as I opened this page, "Jesse James", by The Pogues, came on. Jesse James we understand Has killed many a man He robbed the Union trains He stole from the rich and gave to the poor He had a hand and a heart and a brain

Well it was on a Saturday night The stars were shining bright They robbed the Glendale train And the people they did say from many miles away It was those outlaws Frank and Jesse James

Now Jesse had a wife Lived a lady all her life Her children they were brave But history does record That Bob and Charlie Ford Have laid poor Jesse in his grave

Well it was Bob and Charlie Ford Those dirty little cowards I wonder how they feel For they ate of Jesse's bread And they slept in Jesse's bed And they laid poor Jesse in his grave

Well the people held their breath When they heard of Jesse's death They wondered how he came to fall Well it was Robert Ford in fact Who shot him in the back While he hung a picture on the wall

Daniel Boone was a man. Yes a big man. But the British were coming.. So he ran like a chicken up a tree! Think of the natives you screwed. That made you a sorry dude. See this armed descendant of Cherokee? He's standing over thee. Too bad for you, he also had to pee!

Sweet. I don't think I'd be inclined to piss on Boone's grave, no matter what he did. That asshole who massacred a bunch of Apaches for their scalps, completely ruining any hope for a happy Anglo-Apache relationship; his grave, I'd piss on. The governor of Georgia, the one that allowed greater and greater erosion of the Cherokee lands, probably, if my bladder was full. Maybe Jackson.
