I prefer whiskey or malt liquor.

Actually, it is not.

A) They have no taste. (Doing something I don't approve of seems to be the general definition of this.)

B) They have very limited experiences/tastes. (Kinda sad, but hey-ho.)

C) They like something else but it doesn't seem manly, so they're stuck going with something that they don't mind too much.

Delete as appropriate.

As for myself, depending on the night. Slow Gin and Lemon. Heavy on the gin. Whisky. Cider.... Even some the fruitier beers are okay - provided you can get them, pretty much everything I've seen served in a pub is dish-water. :/

Or it could be something else altogether.

For example, gin makes me fall asleep, whiskey fucks up my stomach badly, beers don't get me drunk enough and are quite a bit more expensive than harder alcohols, etc. Rum and vodka have the best effect on me, so they are my favorites, although I generally prefer vodka to rum because the cheaper vodka usually tastes better than the cheaper rum, and I can't afford more than what is cheap most of the time. Plus, cheap vodka is usually cheaper here than cheap rum anyway.

For some reason I am a tequila man my self. I enjoy the bite and the buzz. People complain about tequila a lot, but I find most people are drink cheap shoddy stuff. A good top shelf tequila is quite enjoyable. Plus I might as well enjoy it now, I read somewhere that the Blue agave could be extinct in 20 years.
