I have an obsession with playing with those static globes. I have found that by placing tin foil on top of the glass that it can amplify the current coming through the glass. In these pictures you can see me lighting a candle using a bit of steel wool, a piece of tinfoil, and obviously a camera. Notice in the second picture the various black dots on my fingers. That's where I mananged to shock myself and burn the tips. Just a little bit of burning flesh can really stink of the room.
If anyone is interested, I have thirty second clips of the entire process for your viewing pleasure. See me on MSN if you wish to recieve a copy for no cost. That's right, not even a S/H charge....
you like playing with birthday candles? :p

It looks even stranger in video. Unfortunately my voice sounds really strange on my camera. Oh well, it is a camera, not a camcorder. :p
