Meh, it happens to the real hydrofoil racing boats, except they can't control it, and it pretty much leads them to crashing in the water, sometimes violently. It's due to the shape of the boat. If air gets under the boat the wrong way, it obtains lift and off it goes.

As for the model boats, they probably added rudders and what-not so they can control the boats when they gain lift. It's a doable modification. Just need to know some wiring and how planes fly.

yeah that's true i saw some movies with crashes like that the boat totaly distroy's

I've seen TV shows with real-life crashes as well where the boat lifts off and then wrecks violently.

You can buy them on Ebay, work out about £150(250-300USD) with delivery.

Very simple design, A propellor is whats used for power and its extreamly light weight due to this. It a proper mint little toy though isnt it though. Might get one myself seen as its christmas :)

Like I said, add some vertical rudders, stabilizers, etc., and you'll have a flying boat of your own.
