Only thing is, I just get a small amount of gold whenever someone registers through my name and link. Its not a lot but I just wanted to try it to see how it all works. Then everyone else can do the same thing. I don't think it adds anyone to my army, it is just that it will say your were brought into being by Dark Lotus instead of the Eldest ( some magical force)
