Ion Cannons are so horribly overpowered, it's hilarious. It can keep an ISD and 3 victory class destroyers pretty much helpless. That's, I think, 13 out of the 20 units the Empire can have in a space battle tied up.

The hypervelocity gun isn't really all that useful. Rebels can just zip down to the planet, blow it up, and then invade.

I think the Rebels as a whole are rather over powered in the game. They're easier to play as, anyway.

And to avoid being moved into games where this will never ever be seen by anyone, here's some spam.

Yeah. If you have FoC you'd see that the Zann Consortium. One Keldabe-class Battleship along with an Aggressor-class Destroyer and a squadron or two of Skipray Blastboats is enough to control most Rebel and Imperial ships singlehandedly.

I don't bother with FoC anymore. It completely slaughtered what balance the game had. Apparently the consensus is that the Empire is stronger PvP, and that Zann makes Rebels completely irrelevant, which also pissed of Imperial players.

In PvE, I find the rebels easier to play as, because you can just spam plex trooper + snowspeeder raids, or throw a mess of artillery at them. And that whole shield regenerating thing is just cheating, I swear.

Also, am I allowed to us PvP and PvE to talk about a game that is clearly not a RPG? I feel like it's one of those "only we can use those words" kind of things.

With TIE Defenders in FoC I could see how the Empire could gain an upper hand earlier on in a match.

On the ground the MPL artillery for the Rebels always rapes. Man I've had problems in the past against the those and the PLEX troopers. Oh and the infiltrators (snipers) of theirs also take out infantry like no other.

One of my favorite units though is the Darktrooper Phase II with its repeating blaster.

Oh you'd know all about poorly thought out mods. Your mod has had a longer development time than most triple A games.

On the note of the ZC being overpowered, that's why I like them. They're quite challenging to play against. Really all you have to do is change some numbers in their files and they become balanced with the other factions.

Rogues isn't poorly thought out! :madman:

It really wouldn't even take much thought to be better than FOC. There's no attempt at balancing the Consortium with the other factions whatsoever.
