the white bits are transperent, well meant to be. So you can only see the red fire lines in my signature. . it failed though.
Its 'cause its a jpg!
Save it as a .gif if you want transparency, or a .png. Although Firefox only supports .png transparency, it appears as a solid light-blue color on IE.

interlaced or not interlaced when saving?
I dont think it matters. Just use "none".
(Being honest, I dont know what the hell it means :p )
