I have made a cup of tea, which is all fine an dandy, right? However, I have now found that by mistake, I have added one more teaspoon of sugar than I usually enjoy.
How do I take a teaspoon of it back out?
add the equivalent amount of all the other ingredients.
Extensive recrystallization. You'll need a solvent that is fairly volatile but in this case nontoxic for human consumption, as well as a means of separating the coffee solution from any contained sugar, which can then be recrystallized through agitation and a rest period within an ice bath (as cooler temperatures generally dictate less solute being able to be held in solution, ie: lower saturation). Or, pour a new cup. Whichever is more convenient.

It's how we lure you in.
Add some liquid nitrogen, let it stay for a few days, and it'll be as good as normal.
