I have purchased an air-conditioning device. You may stay in my darkened cave until the baleful light of the day-star has passed.

I have a fan positioned by my window. But if I turn it on, my eyeballs dry out. If I don't, I sweat too much.

Back home, during the height of summer, we used to be unable to go without the steady drone of the air conditioner for more than five minutes. The pollution also made the air more dusty and stifling, yet somehow almost everything was sticky too. If you put your arm down on a desk, you'd have to peel it away again with a sound almost like velcro.

It is hot here at the moment, but this is better.

When you only have two or three months of warm weather, and they're not even "consistent"(we don't see heat waves in the same manner that the UK or France does), you don't build up a tolerance to the warm weather. So even 20c can be unbearable for a nordic :p

Pfft try last weeks 32C. I got out of the house to buy  cigs and by the time I got to the store (Witch was just 12 to 15 meters from my house) I was already staggering from the heat, and suffering from migraine attacks by the time I got back home.

You all are silly. 20C is winter for us here. Didn't have AC in my house 2 summers ago on the second floor. It reached about 85 F (29 C) daily. Getting wet took on a new meaning. The past couple days the outdoor temp has reached 90 - near 100 F (32-37 C) consistently.

And given our neighbors, I can't complain saying it's hot. I more often complain saying it's cold (people around here love their AC).
