i doubt a turtles shell would stop a bullet but is this really a thread for general discussion?

No reason I was just watching the Futurama episode where Bender gets a turtle...and I was wondering if their shells are hard enough to withstand a bullet.

NO IM NOT GOING TO GO SHOOT A TURTLE.

No the cartoon got me thinking...the cartoon didnt have turtles getting shot, I was just wondering....
