Hospital...and try to put your head into "looking up" position, btw didn't you get into fight?
with plauqe (thats an actual ad over here a guy advertises toothpaste gum by fighting an invisible plauqe enemy)
Pinch your nose just below the bridge. There is a vein just below the nose bone that is the culprit in 99% of bloody noses. Pinching puts pressure on it, which arrests the bleeding and speeds the clotting process.
Do not lean your head back! This causes the blood do drain back to your stomach, and if you swallow too much blood, this will cause you to throw up.
Do not clean out your nose after the bleeding has stopped.
After the nose has stopped bleeding, drink water to help the process of replacing lost blood.

Just get a really hot metal pen-di-rod and put it on the burst vain and it will stop it. Just like star wars!

I once had a nosebleed that kept running. By the time my mom finnally decided to take me to the hospital the whole sink was red. Not from my nose, from me hacking up all the blood.
Nature's best screw up.

I laff at you dragon.
I had that happen to me once. It didn't stop bleeding heavily for 30 minutes. The sink was covered. The trash can was full of bloody tissues. It was a fun day...

Last night wasn't exactly the most fun way to start off the weekend.
My nose continued to bleed rather heavily for the next hour after I posted this thread. An hour after it began, I went back to the restroom to try and clean some of it up. Not really sure what happened next. I got to the sinks, and then apparently passed out. From what I heard someone eventually came in and tried to wake me up. Apparently I managed to get up, but fell again. The first thing I remembered was hearing someone say my pupils were really dilated. I thought I was dreaming since I couldn't see anything. A few minutes later the blackness started to go away and there was a large group of people around me. They kept asking if I had a history of seizures. I had absolutely no idea where I was, or that they even were talking to me. All I could think about was that I had lost some teeth since I tasted a large amount of blood in my mouth.
Within minutes the paramedics arrived and took me to the hospital. I was there for about seven hours and all they could come up with was that I had probably passed out the first time from a combination of blood loss and a viral infection. The second fall was probably associated with a loss of balance, and that I was unconcious because I hit my head on either one of the sinks or the floor.
The good news is that I feel okay aside from a large lump above my right eye, and a few cuts around the face. :uhm:
