So, I'm going into my computer to put in another Hard drive, I rummage around, take out my memory card reader (never used). Only to find that the cable for my hard drive didn't have that one extension thingy. :(

So I had to put everything back, and it works just fine. Now I need that one cable thingy. :(

Wouldn't the cardreader be connected to a usb port on your motherboard and the HDD to a IDE cable?
