I mean, they're smart. They shit in the right place at least half of the time. They must have a pretty good idea what's going on.

If I may put some of my scientific evidence towards this:

I had a dog with whom I'd talk to about politics. He'd listen and each time I threw a sarcastic, pretentious social commentary comment, he'd have a response.

Although the response wasn't always the same.

And not always timed with the commentary.

And sometimes there wouldn't be one at all.

Okay, it sounds arbitrary as fuck but I promise, it totally wasn't. This is super scientific.

Sounds like you have a bit of noise in your data. Standard scientific procedure is to keep repeating the experiment until your result stands out from the noise.

Well, I did turn off all radio's and TV's when conducting the study. If you cannot respect true scientific data, please step aside.
