On The Left is a diagram of what you see in game, The Red on the left and blue on the right move the image backwards in stereoscopic space, so the further back the object is the more red/blue offset it requires however, the furthest an object can get to you is the "screen" with no red/blue offset.
to get a "pop out the screen" effect you would need to move the point that objects hit no offset and then they reverse the offset when they approach the screen, something trackmania won't so
I Hope you enjoyed my lecture, and yes im working at A or A* science level ATM... you dont get taught that in school though :)
