i have seen alot of threads about howto rush well and stuff, but i havent actually seen any threads about howto fight normal battles, like early to mid game. So do you guys have any great battle strategies or tactics? This is my strategy, and it works well most of the time. I play as China, I usually assign 5 squads. 1: 4-5 Overlords (1 with speaker, 3 gatt) 2: 4 Battlemaster, 4 Gatts 3: 5-6 pairs of Red Guards, 5-10 rocket soldiers 4: Inferno cannons and nuke cannons, a couple red guards and rocket soldiers 5: 5 gatts and 5 Rockets, and 2 overlord (speaker and gat) Before my attack, i split my units into two teams, (1,2,3,4) and (5). I start with the usual artillery, and Mig bombing raids, then i send in my overlords, followed closely by my group 2 and 3. The overlords work great as a shield, they can take quite a hammering, while still dishing out good damage. I use group 2 and 3 to take care of the enemey. The inferno cannons and nuke cannons are at the back, destroyign any base defence, and killing buildings. My group 5 is usually placed around the other side of the base, from where im attacking. If things are going very well, ie i have overun the enemy and the games finished, i send em in. If the battle is pretty close, or i will probably lose the battle, i slowly retreat my main attack. A normal person would follow me out and try finish off my battered squad. When they do, i sneak my group 5 into their supply line, sure, they will probably have base defence, but most of the times i can sneak them over. Again, i use the overlords in the group to absorb damage. I can usually destroy all the bases workers, before the enemy regroups and comes back. This is not usually a game ending strategy, but it is not costly, and if it works well, it gives you alot of bang for your buk. The destruction of the enemy's economy will put him out of business for atlest 1-2 mins, which could ultimately lead to victory. This strategy have worked for me many times, sure there is probably alot of flaws, so feel free to post any comments, or post your own tactics. Will

Well, the first good thing to do is to get Overlords with bunkers to put your Rocket Soldiers in. It makes the Rocket Soldiers much more protected and it makes your Overlords much more destructive :D Also you have to get a Black Lotus, which is verry handy for capturing any enemy structure within seconds :D Also a good thing to do is to wait a little longer with your attack and get a Nuke silo to get the Nuclear Tank Upgrade and the Uranium Shells Upgrade... Another thing that is a MUST is the improved Speaker Tower thingie (Subliminar Messaging or sumthing) It really boosts the healing rate of your Speaker Towers :D Remember: A good General can make a lot of tanks, but a better General can make a lot of better tanks

A gd tactic for the AF gen vs SW is to build masses of k-raptrs and send about 4 of them at the base def and they should shoot down most of the missiles if not all. Then... send the rest around the back way where they think you wouldnt go so they dont know u are attacking the back and still think ur attacking the front.

*Sighs...* The ultimate weapon vs base defences are Stealth Fighters... Two of them take down a defence building :D

Agreed, but in a 1v1 your top priority is king raptors because if the enemy attack what can stealths do? stealths usually come later imo.

VS GLA is Raptors a verry bad idea :smokin: . I you have 5 quads with armor piercing bullets they will shoot entire squadrons of raptors out of the skye and if you are a real nOob then the quads won't even be hit hèhè, expecially if a few of them are rank 3 with 3 scrap upgrades :bouncy:

Mid game stratagy... Lots of GLA tactics here :naughty: : http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?p=861285#post861285

Rest i wouldn't really know.....

Yea indeed, in the beginning of the game the SW General is verry vulnerable :( I never use it when quickmatching because you get rushed of you do...
