I'm trying to get through the 5th ZH GLA mission (the one where you free the other terrorist cell members at the southern US base before taking on their main northern base) and I keep getting stomped. The US Particle Beams plus air attacks just wear my base down and I can't keep up. Any suggestions for a strategy? Thanks.

I dunno. But http://www.indews.com has a mailbag. Just e-mail a question and it might be answered.

That mission is tough indeed. Try and take the USA base near you ASAP. You can get avangers and stuff, they rule :D And build a frikkin lot of base defences, it works...

Did you guys beat this level on 'hard'? I tried your suggestions plus the suggestions of walk-through posted on IGN and I'm getting nowhere fast. I just can't hold-off the northen base's aircraft while taking the southern base at the same time. By the time I have made any progress, they have built THREE particle cannons and even back-to-back nukes hits do not take out them out. I am:furious: super frustrated here. PLEASE, someone who has beat this level on hard give me some details on how you did it.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I did complete the mission on hard twice. But because I don't have better things to do I'll try and defeat the Yanks for the third time :D You'll get a full battlereport about how I beated it. Btw I nearly smashed my chair to bits because I got so FRIKKIN FRUSTRADED about this mission :furious: :banghead: But getting frustrated seems to be a part of this mission. But one of my good qualities is: I NEVER QUIT!! So I beated the mission after all :D Expect a battlereport soon...

 YES! I did it. I went back through the IGN walkthrough and it worked. The key seemed to be using bunker-equipped Helixes to very quickly take the southern base. After that, it was just a matter of surviving a couple of particle beam attacks and then it was a fairly slow process of whittling down the northern base with nukes and Black Lotus. Thanks for the offer of help, Agent Smith. YOU ROCK! :stallard: Gregg

How about using some fake buildings? :smokin: i didn't play the GLA single mission. Comps hit the first buld building. Try to find out what they hit most and build a few distraction buildings to mislead the particle cannons :type:
