I'v finished the basic bsp of a map based on Echers's wierd staircase pic, the one w/ staircases everywhich way and people walking upside down and such. Does anybody know how to get this effect? I tried volumes but they don't actually flip the player around. I tried zoning the areas but that didn't work well because I didn't know what I was looking for. So if anyone can give me a couple tips I would be gratful, or at least if someone can tell if it's possible, the core programming might prohibit it, I don't know. thx in advance!

Hmm, well your going to have problems with that.UT is designed to keep you level on your feet and land like a cat. The only thing you could do is use a static bot pawn and stick it there for looks, or, build the whole map upside down, but have it look rightside up. You could flip them with zone velocity, but they would rotate but keep rotating. Mabye but i would have to try, but have the volume only trigger long enough to rotate theem with veloctiy then turn off the switched volum, but I think the bots would snap back to normal.

Yeah, thx for the help, I'll try the second one, but from the sounds of it you can't get it to work all that well for bot-matches. I guess I just save that idea for when they add on some feature like that.

Perhaps something like this could be used:

http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ExampleMapsWarpZones#Ring_Worlds

The only problem with using WarpZones is that I don't see a way one could fully duplicate Escher's works, since it involves seeing the entire room as a coherent object.

It's... possible, but one would have to be very creative.
