you can change the stats in the scenario editor for only that scenario using triggers, or you can be elite and mod proto.xml or protox.xml (aom or TT). which one?

Ya. That's all you really have to do, and yes, it will carry over when someone downloads it.

Here's how you edit proto.xml:

1. Download AoMed Bar Extracter form AoMFiles.com. Availible here: http://www.aomfiles.com/file.info?ID=15647.

2. Open up the extractor, and click on the input data file button.

3. Go to the Age of Mythology directory, and in the data folder, select the file data.bar (for Age of Mythology: The Tians Expansion, the f ile is called data2.bar)

4. Than select ok.

5. Click the "Folder to extract Data into".

6. In the data folder create a folder called data2. Than select it and click ok.

7. Now, click the button "Read data file" in aomed.

8. Wait for the extractor to finish (it will say "Finished!" when it is done)

9. Close the log window but keep aomed open.

10. Click on "Direct File Conversion" in aomed.

11. Select the file, "proto.xmb" (for titans protox.xmb), and than click ok.

12. Click "Ok" in the next window.

13. Now open up the data folder in The Age of Mythology directory via "My Computer".

14. Now open the file proto.xml or protox.xmb, with notepad.

15. hit ctrl+f at the beginning of the document, and enter the name of the unit that you want to edit.

16. After you have found the unit, close the search window.

17. It will take you a little while to understand all of the tags in the proto file, but it's not that hard to understand (eg: 4.8000 means speed, and 20.0000 means the amount of hitpoints the unit has).

18. Save the proto.xml or protox.xml in the data folder. And remember, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUT THE BAR FILE BACK TOGETHER.

Hope this little tutorial helps. :D

nice, you should write a tut shimano! lol yeah if you trigger edit them, it will carry over the stats when someone DLs it. but if you mod proto / protox.xml, then you'll need to give them your proto or tell them how to mod it correctly
