Okay, here’s the jig:

I altered a UT2003 model of Mr. Crow in MilkShape to remove his hat and give him long hair.

I exported the file as a psk and opened it in Upaint. When trying to paint the hair I found that I could only do so by painting a specific small tiny area near the corner of the screen. This limited me to painting it a block color.

When I exported and re-named the model, then moved it to UT2004 I found that the model had no 3d view (a problem I have not uncounted before while using Upaint) the portrait was also at an odd angle to hide the alterations I had made.

Needless to say the model would not play; I would instead play as the last model I selected beforehand.

I’ve made many skins with Upaint but I wanted to make a model to make my skins original.

Please help me cos I’m really stuck.

Thanks.

MVL.

Can't help you :(. You could try using another application for skinning though, most other games don't have an equivalent of UPaint after all.

Like what?

I'm a bit new to this, but I can show you some skins I've made.

I dig that, but I'd still really like to get this model done.

try serif photoplus or adobe photoshop. photoshop is the best available (and most expensive) but photoplus is relatively cheap and is not terrible
