Hi, I post from spain, so maybe my english is a little stinky... I´m started to make some texture mods; archus-dark elves, a very special jason, dark riders hippikons but i like the beginning of my eowyn. I think there´s already a lot of work with this pretty warrior so i need help. Well, here´s the image eeeeehhhhhh...... i think i don´t know how to place the image, well i need help with it too. The question, i took the reginleif(norse hero) and convert her in Eowyn, but i have to take off her the wings on helmet and change the spear for a sword, and i don´t know how to do it, can u explain to me? and placing screenshot too, please. and if do u like i could help somebody with his mod, cause i enjoy a lot doing this things... (sims were the beginning of texture mutants for me). Well, thanks everybody and hope u answer, bye.
In the anim file, under "define weapon" or something, you have to extract the .bar file (models.bar) with AoMed and find the attachment file for a sword and put that filename, without the extension, in the place of the spear filename in the anim file. I'm not quite sure about the helmet, but I think it also has something to do with the anim file.
shimano is right. have you made an anim file yet? if you havent then i suggest you read the modding guide, or post back here, and we'll tell you how to make one. from your post it sounds like you were only dealing with textures.
Ey, thanks for answer. you´re right, coolsk8r, I´m only with textures already, this is the reason i ask for help. I want to make full units mods. In fact, i´ve downloaded your mod pack of twelve new units and did all the readme says and nothing! the aomed could´nt transform the proto to xmb correctly, always an error! i suppose that i don´t place correctly the proto.txt on the proto.xml. Well, in my avatar i show the Eowyn. With the anim file, no problem, i´ll do it, but i want to know which program use to edit models to take off the helmet´wings. And i need help to upload some screenshots too. Well, step by step i will get it... Thanks for answering and i hope u help me with all of this. your english is gud. Kastor is coming out with a GMAX tutorial sometime soon, and GMAX is probably the best model editor. Its elder brother is 3DSMAX, which i've heard is about $500. You dont want that. Download GMAX here: http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/ Keep in mind that you shouldn't try to create or edit much until Kastor comes out with his tutorial ;) dont worry i dont kno how to model either.
I just came apon a copy of 3D Studio Max, and am about to start messing with textures more. I will keep you guys up-to-date on what I do and how I do it. Wish me luck. P.S. I've seen worse English than that ;) Believe me, you are probably doing alot better than any of us would be if the rolls were reversed.
