This site should help immensely. http://www.planetunreal.com/architectonic/first_level.html. It really helped me learn the basics of UnrealED 3.0 . That thing is confusing at first, but once you get the basics down it becomes easier to use.

If you have an Internet connect with some fairly decent speed haul your butt over to 3DBuzz and register. Registration is free so long as you have a valid email address. Do a search on 3DBuzz as I guess URL posting is blocked here. (I tried it with one of the most popular search engines and the link as all top 3 hits.) Once registered and logged in, go into the "Video Training" section. There you will find a whole series of Video tutorials that start right at the basics. The entire series is downloadable, and extremely detailed. They give an excellent set of tutorials on just moving around in the editor itself, then go on to walk you through building an entire level. THAT is where I got my start, and although I have limited talents, I've managed to build and release around 15 custom UT2003 maps, and 8 to 10 UT2004 maps. Good luck. DeeZ
