hi,
I have used milkshape 3d to edit and modify the diva model(Mesh) in ut2003, after i exported it as a .psk i opened it up in upaint added the textures and click on the button that says"add character into unreal" i tried it out in game and all i get is the default model! Do i have to use the unrealed? if so how do i export it? where can i find tutorials for this? Thx
Ok
I got maya PLE the free one i also got milkshape 3d and gmax....can any of those get my modified diva into unreal? Earliar i said i exported my model using milkshape and i could not get it into unreal..do i have to re assign the bones because edited the mesh of diva? and i notice milkshape doesnt have a exporter that will go with maya file format. do i need a plugin? do i have to export the model out of milkshape then open up Unreal Editor and somehow get it in the editor...i am asking all these questions because i cannnot find any tutorials that are good....if you know where there are tutorials please give me a link thx
heres a screen shot ...it aint much but i want to learn
save the .upp in Upaint under a different name like diva2 or somethin and save the textures individually (diva_head, diva_body, ya kno) and try it again, also try exporting a random texture on a random mesh just to make sure your export/convert thing is working, ive been on the upaint forums (click that get updates button in Upaint to get to the official site) and ive seen things about that problem, sry but i dont have any experience with meshes but i kno that gmax doesnt currently support UT2003 (but they are workin on it, a few years late i guess) and there is a plugin for maya to make the file compatible with UnrealEd (search google for unrealwiki) and milkshape has that built in export thing for .psk's so i dont kno why that wouldnt work for you...
How do you edit UT stuff in MilkShape? I can't do it!
