First off Hi, second of all yes i have read the Modding Tutorial 1.2 but here is where i am stuck. :uhm: I'm currently modding The Titans so Vachu's editors are now useless to me as they were made for AOM and never updated for TT. All i need to know is what i'm asking below and thank you in advance. I have copied the Mummy script and made a new entry in the protox file at the bottom named "Zombie" for the Greeks, and in "Age 1 Zeus" in the techtreex file, i have also added the "Zombie" to the temple train list in the protox file so it can be built. Now.. the button shows up in the temple for it to be built with the required price but i click it and the number goes up to say its in the process of being built but nothing appears at the gather point, Now i have a feeling that i have to give it the mummy animations, is this correct? And the last thing is this, because of Vachu's editor does not suport TT in which file should i edit so that i can change the "displaynameid" number to a new so i can put in the entry for the "Zombie"? Thank you again in advance, i'm relitavley new to modding as the only successful things i have done are edit stats etc eetc, really basic stuff. So thanks for your time!:)

well... you probably could do something like downloading a Hex Editor. I don't know where to get one, but you could search on a search engine for one. these are a.k.a. "Resource Tuner"s. These programs can open .dll files, and the one that includes all the stuff is language.dll, which is in the aom main folder. so go get resource tuner or sumthin and evn tho prgms like that are more confusing than VTE, that's the only way you'll be able to make a new line

e-mail vachu. tell him to make a TT version! hell....i cant even get my unit to work. the techtree file is too confusing. i just want him for a age, not for a certain god! goodluck btw.

well, for an age, you have to put an enable effect for each god in that age! lol

ok...i thought there would be just a part for only the entire Age....and can i have proto.xml in the base data folder to make the game run off it, or do i need it converted to proto.xmb? i dont like having to convert it each time i mod sumthin and wanna change it. and check the colloseum thread, got a post for u

of course not, pcgm. aom looks for xml files sooner than XMB's, so you don't need to convert it each time. and btw ur proto and anim files look good... is anything still wrong? and lol dozza no hes probably not! heh

Hi again. Of coarse i'll come back, i'm not one of these people who will ask a question and then just leave, i hope to stay around for long time. :nodding: Anyways.. you really think i need to get a Hex editor just to add a new line? is there not a file to convert so i can enter it in? sounds more difficult than allowing a new unit to be built! So anyone know why the Zombie is not being created and going to the gather point? like i said i edited techtreex and protox no problem and even my new icon showed up but the Zombie didnt, so i take i have to give him the animation of the mummy yes? Cheers.

Yay! You came back! Anyway, i havn't yet had the chance to meet good ole' techtree, so i know not of your problem. Im more of the place it on the editor kinda guy ;)
