I have a map I created back in the days of Deus Ex 1and would really like to have this map available in Unreal 2003 or 2004. I removed all Deus Ex specific actors, classes, etc and then tried to open it in UnrealEd 2003 and it crashed. So I went back in and set all textures to a default that is available in UT2003 and it still crashed when I tried to open it. Is there anyway to convert a Deus Ex/Unreal 1 map to UT2003 or better?
Nope, 'fraid not, the 2.0 engine is too heavily modified. I tried long and hard to port the original Facing Worlds into UT2003, the best I could get was adding something vaguely resembling the geometry, but everything was weird and misaligned, and some parts of the map were nowhere near where they should have been. You'll just have to build the map from scratch (although you should be able to port the textures).

you could try to export to unrel txt in the deus ex editor and import it in the ut2003/4 editor, it works from ut to ut 2003 and 2004 etc.
