Right now the only thing I have to do this with is PhotoShop, and I am finding it a little limited. Do you guys have any suggestions for software that may help me do more? Preferably something that has a downloadable demo or full version...I really don't want to spend money to do this. Are there any programs that will render the texture map in its in-game 3d form? I guess that is the main thing I am looking for so that I can test what I do before putting it in the game. Thanks

You can eaily texture mod using Photo Editer then paint. You can still have a good outcome. I use basic programs and get a good response.

I am wanting to get VERY detailed with my textures. I'm talking new 3d renders, photo real textures, whole new structures, etc. I just don't see Photo Editer and paint giving me what I'm looking for.

Well how about Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.1? that's what I use. To make really detailed images, make them a super-high resolution. Simple as that. Photoshop is probably better than PSP8.1, but PSP is more user-friendly lol :D and that's what I need :p:lol:
