When I try to play Defence Alliance 2 Beta 1.0(the DA2.exe in my UT2004 directory) it gives me this error message “Windows cannot find '..\system\ut2004'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.” It was working before I installed it so it’s not anything else; I installed it just as the readme said. Anyone know how I can fix it? It did replace some files with its own but they were smaller ones don’t know if that’s important or not.

Hmm. Try these things.

1. Search your System folder in the UT2004 directory to see if that file (.ini, .u, whatever it is asking for) exists and also see if there is another "System" folder nested with your system folder of UT2004. If this is true, cut and paste everything from the nested System folder to the main System folder in UT2004 and delete the now empty nested System folder. You may have that foldier if you used the .zip to install the game. It should not occur with the .exe installation, but you may want to check anyway.

2. Start up UT2004, and select community on the main menu, followed by the User Mod tab. Defence Alliance 2 should show up there. Select it and select Activate Mod. There is no guarantee that this will work, but it won't hurt to try it, and if it does work, it may point to what the problem is trying to use the .exe launch file to play the mod.

I hope this helps. If not, feel free to post back or contact me via IM or PM.

I got it, had to put the whole thing from the .zip in C:\ut2004, then made a shortcut like the manual said, GREAT MOD reminds me of halo with just submachine guns wish the AI would just move more when they see people.
