Im new to UnrealEd and so this may or may not be a hard question to answer, I just bought Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Edition and started to follow the tutorials featured on the second disk. When we got to the lighting part of the tutorial, I realized that whenever I tried to build all, the lighting would not match up with what i thought it was supposed to be. The room was completely filled with normal light, there were not light bulb icons on my screen, nothing indicating that I had put any light anywhere. So to see what the source was I built the level and found out that it was nearly completely dark. I tried adding a light and the rebuilidng again, no light change, it was a room filled with light, so I built the scenario again, and still it was completely dark. What do I do, I just recently installed the new patch, Im not sure if its that, that is causing it.

when you are in the editor, in the 3d veiwport there arebuttons on the top, what it sounds like to me is you are viewing it int he editor in a unlit view. if you look in thosebuttons there is one for seeing the lightmap, and there is one for seeing the lighing effect in game, i think the button you want is the second to last one.
