I'm looking for all the single-player mods (by single player i mean levels, and a story, etc) that have been made for unreal tournament 2004. I am interested in a marathon mod (old mac game), but if you know any mod please post its name and if you can, a link to where i can download it.

I've just released a toolset called Old Skool Monsta Toolz. This toolset is designed to allow mappers to implement complex monster AI in *any* gametype for UT2004. For more information on OSMT, check out the wiki page:

Old Skool Monsta Toolz

Within this toolset, I also offer OSM Adventure, a story-driven gametype meant to lead single or cooperative players to "run the gauntlet" of Puzzles, Traps and Monsters. A full complement of tools are available to facilitate adventures that play similar to video games we know and love like Oblivion, Return to Castle Wolfenstien, Doom, Quake, etc. And with the ability to easily modify and add new content, the game could also allow alternate gameplay, like popular platformers such as RayMan or popular puzzle games like Myst.

I have made an example map to demonstrate what OSM Adventure can do. It is available now on FileFront:

OSM-Gauntlet

OSMT is included in this map's .zip file (it is a mere ~500k in size). Installation instructions for both the map and the toolset can be found in the map's ReadMe file. So, it's all self-contained. (In fact, the small file size for the toolset is by design, so that it can travel with maps of any gametype using OSMT)

Be on the lookout for more OSM Adventure maps. An OSM Adventure Map Pack is currently in development, thanks to some of my favorite Unreal Engine level designers. Also, I expect maps using OSMT in other gametypes (such as DM or ONS) to be released soon.

Please try out OSM-Gauntlet and see if that's what you're looking for. Thank you and enjoy. :D

If you're used to mapping for UT2004 multiplayer gametypes, then I'd follow the two links in my previous post. One will give you a mod to UT2004 that allows you to map for a new gametype called OSM Adventure. The other will give you an example (singleplayer) map for OSM. OSM Adventure can make singleplayer or cooperative adventures.

If you're new to mapping, try some of the mapping lessons on the UnrealWiki first, then try using the Old Skool Monster Toolz toolset.

The same way you make multiplayer mods, maps, etc., except it requires a lot more coding (and probably more than Unreal Ed and Maya).

I guess I'm feeling rather invisible. :uhm: I'll speak up again, just in case.

The OSMT toolset I just released and link to above is designed to allow mappers to make story-driven maps, and even add on easily to make whole new game prototypes without all the coding. (this gives you a big head start, at the very least)

Along with the example map I've made for OSM Adventure, OSM-Gauntlet, a good friend of mine, Lord_Simeon, has released the first two "chapters" of a story-driven adventure, OSM-Wangara.

Link: OSM-Wangara on FileFront.

Just take a look at these two examples. OSMT (and OSM Adventure) may be what you are looking for.

Hey superape, don't you have a page on filefront for maps and your files-blogs etc etc? All the people at UP and unrealsp.org should have one, Mr Prophet should upload his stuff too, xidai and 7bullets.I am liking this place quite a bit.
