How do you usually build up your units? I send 2 peons to mine gold, 1 to lumber, 1 on barracs, and one on a farm. Then, I set up 4/5 peons in queue in my town hall, and have the first two goto the gold mine, and then send the guy from the farm to the gold mine. After that, I wait for the guy in barracks to finish, and, if I have the 300g/100l materials, I have him build an Alter. So with this, I have 5 peons on gold, and 4 on lumber. I then save up gold for one baseunit, and another peon, which I send to lumber. After the alter is done, I spawn one of my heros, sending my peon to make another farm. I then build one more peon, and send him to lumber as well. And then from there, I just make units to defend, and send out to attack.

I usually start with altar before building barracks... then I can already start gaining xp with 1 hero and 2 - 3 basic units...

Well, with mine, I have a Barracks, with one guy in queue as I build my Altar, and another 2 as I am 'training' my hero. So it all works out for me.

I am not sure about this, but I am gonna test it. I think the Barracks, even having more hp, builds faster than the Altar.

you absolutely fail.

heres something that will help you out

2 peons to gold 1 to barracks 1 to alter 1 to farm quewe up ONE peon and wait when hes done quewe up another ONE not 5 or six thats just stupid then when your mines full start getting lumber when you alter and barracks are complete (should be about the same time) put both the peasents that were building them on a farm.

and hotkeys really help with speed and conveniance try to learn them.
