i deprotected a GO FISH map and extracted the war3map.j file. i opened up the file and inserted

call SetPlayerStateBJ( Player(0), PLAYER_STATE_RESOURCE_GOLD, 750 )

in the appropriate function. afterwards i added my edited war3map.j file to the map archive. i can open the map in the WE, see the custom triggers and test the map with success. but when i enter battle.net and try to host a game with this map, people can't join, they get an error. Why is that? my mission in life is not to try to destroy luth's go fish game, i tried this just for fun. i simply would like to know why this happens...? anyone? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- i discovered that the reason people are getting an error message when trying to join my game is because i deproteceted the map, not because i edited the war3map.j file. i use Deprotect by Nathanmx, anyone know why i cant host a game with a deptrotected map?

maybe the protector damaged some files and when unprotecting it couldn't be repaired? I don't know... but I guess you better try not to unprotect maps unless to view it and learn from it
