Hello I am currently looking for some other developers that would be interested in sharing the work load of this mod i am in the early stages of development. In short the mod will be a conversion of the warcraft III engine. i plan on creating a Front Mission like game for the PC using the WC3 engine. The game will be turn based or RTS which will be decided after a few convos. I have been shopping around for a engine in which to power this mod, at first i was considering HL2 Source engine, but after looking over a few other sites i have choosen the WC3 engine becasue of its less complicated engine and more support. The game engine for HL while graphicly better is also very complicated to work with( especialy if you want to mod it as much as i was planning on) http://www.square-enix.co.jp/fm/ if your not sure what front mission is basicly the mod will pull from the game the gameplay and style, but im not making a Front Mission MOD for warcraft III, i will have orginal content including maps models weapons effects and animations new construction system/resources I am looking for people that know how to manipulate the warcraft 3 2d and internal code, as i am a php programer and 3d artist, i am looking for someone with some experience already to help speed up my learning curve for the mod. First of course i need to get some people interested in the idea. Basicly the game will play like warcraft 3 but use wanzer like mecha and tanks/helicopters/planes will replace the units of warcraft, I will also create new models and replace the grass/woodland terrians with urban cities and battlefields. Retexture everything and create new animations. So it should look like C&C generals but what will make this game superior is the squad/unit control that warcraft has over C&C, i will create squad commanders that will have extra specials etc etc. I have alot of the info planed out already in my head, I am writing more and more each day, but in order to really get this MOD started I need atleast one other person helping me. thanks for your time email me if your interest in getting more info. -weed

Great to see everyone knows how to read, but do you know how to type?

What kind of forum has posts but no replys, can someone direct me towards a forum where i can find the appropriate people to continue to help me with this MOD,

I just got my friend an animator for a game studio in boston to sign on to do the texturing. I will post the first concept art this week, i have two of the units in high res models that need to be tuned down. Here is just some game art

modding is useless... there aren't enough people to edit, and cursing the few won't let them join you... I know what it is to make a mod (altough I never did it with W III), but it's not easy at all... the modding itself may be possible, but leading a team, esspecially online, (so not in real life) is one of the hardest things... :uhm:

What about blizzforums.com? In the WC Map/Custom thread I may offer my assistance, should you ask. And if not there is a map making group there that, within a few weeks, might be able to aid in your project. Although I'd write down the site, as the administration here's going to delete this post.
